In what is sure to come as good news for Indians living in New Zealand, an Auckland-based technology company will soon begin broadcasting international TV channels, including popular Indian ones.
Orcus has recently signed an exclusive redistribution contract with four overseas channels. It wants to cash in on the viewing habits of an increasingly diverse ethnic population in New Zealand.
Viewers will need just a satellite dish and decoder to receive the signal. It is possible some channels will be a mix of pay-TV and free-to-air, business adviser Pavitra Roy is quoted as saying in New Zealand Herald newspaper.
