  • Plug pulled on Stratos Television, the F.T.A. nationwide broadcaster is switching off after 4 years of public service broadcasting despite a growing audience of more than one million.   • Prime is Now on Freeview
    Today Freeview announced that Prime is now available on both platforms of Freeview. The digital terrestrial service Freeview|HD as well as the Freeview satellite service now have Prime. All existing receivers will be able to be retuned to have Prime and all new receivers will have Prime available.

    DishTV has released their new satellite receivers. The DishTV S7000 is a FTA satellite receiver that operates on either 12v or 230v. The DishTV S7010 receiver is the 230v only equivilent. These are now available on our products page.

  • New Freeview Channel from TV3
    TV3 has just launched a new TV channel on Freeview. The TV3+1 channel is TV3 broadcast one hour later. While this may disappoint you initially, like viewers in the UK you may soon be loving this new channel.

    Usually you will find that broadcasters have similar programmes on at the same time and you end up missing one of the programmes. But now TV3 will be one hour later.

  • When are the new TVNZ channels coming?
    According to a recent report Steve Maharey, Minister of Broadcasting, has said TVNZ will launch it's new Home Channel in August and the 24HR News Channel in October. Both channels will be available free on FreeView satellite.

  • Full FreeView Launch Soon!
    Freeview has announced they will launch in early May (on satellite) with the full advertising campaign starting late April.

    This service will include TV One, TV2, TV3, C4, Maori Television and also Radio New Zealand National and Concert Programmes.

    Later in the year, it is expected that more channels will be added to the Freeview service.

    The terrestrial service (via aerial) is currently scheduled for February 2008.
